The School Library reflects the musical bias of the School, having fiction and non-fiction books, magazines covering all academic subjects taught in School as well as a very large music collection including books, sheet music, orchestral sets, wind, brass and jazz ensemble music, string ensemble and baroque music, choral scores, miniature scores, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records and audio-visual equipment.

You should have a postgraduate library qualification recognised by CILIP, a music degree and experience within a school, music conservatoire or other music library.  You should have excellent organisational, computing and interpersonal skills and preferably staff management experience.

Front of House Duty Manager

The Stoller Hall, Carole Nash Hall and Chetham’s School of Music

Flexible Part-Time Role

Chetham’s School of Music, the UK’s largest specialist music school, seeks experienced and highly motivated Front of House Duty Managers to oversee the smooth running of public concerts and events at The Stoller Hall, the Carole Nash Hall and Chetham’s School of Music. They will lead a team of Stewards and provide the highest standards of customer service to all visitors.

The Stoller Hall is a brand new venue opening in April 2017. This 482 seat concert hall has a state-of-the-art acoustic and will host a broad programme of classical, contemporary, jazz, folk and pop music as well as comedy, spoken word, conferences and events.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to be involved with an exciting new venue, delivering an outstanding audience and artist experience as well as the opportunity to work on a range of other events at a vibrant music school.
