The orchestra is currently comprised of 69 musicians and the choir of 42 singers. Students are generally of high school age (with an average age of 16) and represent a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

The orchestra and choir will perform both separately and together on stage. Their repertoire includes works from Beethoven, Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Whitacre, Whitwell and Riebl.

The concert at The Stoller Hall will be shared with the Kantos Chamber Choir. This choir comprises some of the top choral singers across the North West who have begun or are about to begin their professional careers. Since its formation, Kantos has risen to be at the forefront of choral singing in Manchester. Kantos will sing some of their own pieces as well as 2 joint pieces with the NSW Public School ensembles.
