The Manchester International Concerto Competition for Young Pianists brings outstanding young musicians from all over the world together with Manchester Camerata, a truly world class orchestra with an international profile.
In celebration of The Stoller Hall’s opening, and in recognition of the phenomenally high level of performance which this unique competition has consistently attracted, the 2017 event extends the final over two nights. It also allows young soloists a larger choice of repertoire than ever before, with a list of works stretching from Bach to Rachmaninov and Shostakovich.
As always the competition’s jury is made up exclusively of professional concert pianists – all experienced musicians and distinguished concerto soloists in their own right.
