Domestic Porter

We are looking for a new Domestic Porter to join our Domestic Services team to deliver an efficient and high-quality service to the School.

The job 

  • The role is nominally 37.5 hours per week over a 7-day week (inclusive of Saturdays and Sundays), within core times of 7.30am to 6.00pm, 7.5 hours per day.
  • Hours to be arranged in consultation with Domestic Management, with appropriate notice given.

In return 

  • Starting pay of £17,882, rising to £18,216 per annum.
  • You will receive free lunches during term time and free parking during holidays.

Resident House Assistant

We are looking for a new House Assistant to join the boarding pastoral team, assisting with the day-to-day care and boarding routines of the students. The role could involve working with either our junior students aged 9-13 or our senior students aged 14-18 and there is some flexibility.

The job:

  • The role is nominally 32 hours per week with three day or evening shifts during the week and one at the weekend. However, because of the nature of pastoral care, the role requires a flexible approach.
  • The role is residential and single person accommodation is available.

In return:

  • You will be paid £9.13 per hour
  • You will receive free term-time accommodation for the duration of your contract; this may be in a shared flat.
  • You will be entitled to the provision of all meals during term time.

School Library Assistant (Part-Time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic School Library Assistant to join our team in the School’s Learning Resource Centre. The shifts involved are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings 4.30pm – 9pm in term time, to a maximum of 12 hours per week. Applications would be considered from candidates who may not be able to offer all of the shifts. Knowledge of music is essential, as is experience of dealing with young people.

The job:

  • 4.30pm – 9pm Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays up to 12 hours per week.  Term time only.

In return:

  • You will be paid £8.96 per hour – Tuesday & Thursday; £9.28 on Fridays (pay award pending from September 2021).

Maintenance Mechanical Pipe Fitter & Ventilation

Full time — 37.5 hours per week, with additional rostered and un-rostered overtime
Salary — £24,507 pa

We are looking for time-served, fully qualified and experienced Maintenance Mechanical Pipe Fitter/Plumbers.

Experience of ventilation systems would be desirable.

Candidates will be qualified to City and Guilds 6192-02 as a minimum, and have served a recognised trade apprenticeship in the disciplines required. Gas Safe registration would be desirable but not essential as the School can provide training.
