Tanya Dixon

Born in Russia, Tanya has been living in Britain for more than 15 years and has come to regard it as home.

Having graduated with a degree in finance, Tanya embarked upon a career in accounting. Her professional experience was enhanced by working in the global accounting industry for Andersen, PWC and Deloitte, as well as privately owned businesses. This provided Tanya with an insight into working in highly demanding situations with a broad commercial focus, within multiple projects and teams.

Coming from a family of educationalists in both schools and universities, Tanya has a long-held interest in putting her energy and skills into work with children and young people. A devoted mother, Tanya has chosen to give her time towards activities her daughter was pursuing, and this developed into various volunteer roles in the areas of music and dance.

Tanya is a passionate follower of arts – a supporter and practitioner. Her love for literature – poetry especially – has inspired her to begin translations of some of her favourite works of Russian poets. For a long time, cooking has been Tanya’s passion as it embodies such great qualities as creativity, curiosity, respect and well-being.

Tanya can frequently be seen in attendance at Chetham’s events and lunchtime concerts.
