This Halloween the Northern Film Orchestra presents, Frankenstein with a live concert orchestra!

Experience the iconic horror film based on Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel Frankenstein with a live orchestra. The 1931 movie was produced without music, enter Michael Shapiro whose 70-minute haunting score performed by a 22-piece orchestra adds another dimension and emotional impact to the viewing experience.

Frankenstein (directed by James Whale) begins with a prologue in which the audience is warned about the horrifying tale to follow. High in the Bavarian mountains, Dr. Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive) and his hunchbacked assistant Fritz (Dwight Frye) succeeded in piecing together body parts of the deceased in an attempt to create life.

Frankenstein succeeds in animating his monster (Boris Karloff), but, confused and traumatized, it escapes into the countryside and begins to wreak havoc. Frankenstein searches for the elusive being, and eventually must confront his tormented creation.

This Halloween weekend join the Northern Film Orchestra for the rare opportunity to experience Frankenstein like never before!
