Chetham’s award-winning composition department presents music for chamber ensembles and soloists. Each Composers’ Concert is unique, shaped around the interests of young writers and performers, with music ranging from choral arrangement to traditional and contemporary classical, popular music and performance art.

Chetham’s composers have been represented at the BBC Proms Inspire Young Composers Competition every year since 2009 as well as the Royal Opera House Fanfare Competition and National Centre for Early Music Young Composers Awards in 2016. Join them to discover the future sounds of the concert platform, all performed by Chetham’s instrumentalists and singers and directed by the composers themselves.
