Summer School is back for 2024

We’re thrilled to be opening our doors to Chetham’s Summer School for the third time in 2024!

Our unique course, led by Director of Music Tom Redmond, encompasses orchestral music-making, piano playing, and singing all under one roof. Summer School students will learn an exciting repertoire including well-known symphonic pieces and even The Avengers and Bohemian Rhapsody!

The course culminates in on-stage performances at the stunning Stoller Hall – a rare opportunity for a young musician.

Singing students will explore stagecraft, acting, movement, songwriting, understanding of skill, vocal health and technique while working on their ability as solo performers. Their concert will feature a solo performance, group performance and an opera chorus.

It’s also a great way to get a taste of life at Chetham’s. Each day will be packed with instrument workshops, ensemble playing, personalised guidance, and performance.

After the music stops, you’ll have the chance to stay in our boarding facilities, with plenty of fun activities, games, dancing and shared experiences. Chetham’s caring team of staff will be on hand to make sure you have everything you need (non-residential places are also available).
