We are shocked and saddened by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and have committed to supporting young, displaced musicians through our Chetham’s Ukrainian Bursary Fund, providing bursary support for music students from Ukraine to continue their musical education here at Chetham’s School of Music.
Please help us to ensure we can offer talented young musicians who have been forced to flee their homes the chance to access a world-class education and achieve their full musical potential.
Chetham’s School of Music is the largest specialist music school in the UK and welcomes students aged between 8 – 18 based purely on musical potential, never the ability to pay. Almost 90% of our students receive some sort of financial support helping to ensure the future of classical music and provide equal opportunities for gifted young musicians.
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can add an extra 25% to your matched donation by opting into Gift Aid to make an even bigger impact.
Thank you to all of our generous supporters who have help raise over £30,000 since this campaign started.
Special thanks to The LHR Charitable Foundation for match funding donations during our summer appeal.
The Bursary Fund has been used to enable three Ukranian students to join the school from September and continue their musical studies at Chetham’s.
We are continuing to raise funds towards this targeted initiative for another year. If you would like to be a regular supporter please contact development@chethams.com
