Part of our Sounds of Nature programme

‘Ambitious, genre-busting folk’ – Financial Times

Best known as lead singer of folk big band Bellowhead, which sold over a quarter of a million albums over their twelve year career, Jon Boden has also developed his own song writing through solo albums including his trilogy of albums, ‘Songs From the Floodplain’, ‘Afterglow’ and the recent ‘Last Mile Home’, which focus on stories from a post-oil world where folk arts thrive.

Usually touring the project with the eleven-piece Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings, this smaller line-up offers a more intimate version of the material, plus a special guest appearance from Sam Sweeney.

Expect music from Jon’s solo albums and from across his career including Bellowhead, Spiers & Boden and Folk Song A Day
