Chetham’s School of Music is pleased to announce a free, one-day event for young woodwind players, aged 9 – 17 (from grade 3 upwards).

Come and join us for a full day of masterclasses, ensemble playing, and lively group discussions, led by a friendly, specialist team of Chetham’s tutors, students, and very special guests.

Led by the Head of Woodwind at Chetham’s School of Music, Belinda Gough, who will also be joined by some of the most exciting woodwind players working in classical music today including:

Angharad Thomas, Bassoon
James Hulme, Oboe
Lisa Nelsen, flute
Elliot Gresty, Clarinet
Robert Cope, Saxophone

From 10am – 4pm, the packed day will include classes for each instrument including top tips on solo repertoire, technique, chamber music and the chance to play in massed woodwind choirs.

Suitable for players of the following instruments: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone.
