Suitable for ages 3+

Part of our Sounds of Nature programme

Pay what you decide (following the event)

1 hour, no interval

The Stoller Hall and Chetham’s present an interactive musical extravaganza.

There’s a race on to a new planet! Teams of musical astronauts are all competing to be the first to explore SH-009. Children aged three plus and their families will be taken on a journey into outer space, discovering music from Holst’s famous work The Planets, as well as other extra-terrestrial musical worlds.

Little explorers can learn about sound and nature and the positive impact music can have on the environment.

Spacesuits optional.

Led by the Chetham’s Outreach team, this will be a fun and entertaining event with Chetham’s musicians performing short pieces of music, alongside moments of audience interaction. This is a relaxed event where audiences will be able to move around or leave the auditorium during the performance.

Event supported by Huawei UK

Please note – Pay what you decide: We’re working to develop our family programme to make it relevant and accessible to all our audiences. This is a pay what you decide event and once the performance has ended you can choose a price point which reflects your experience. Our previous family events have ranged from £5 – £15 per person. If you have any questions or would like to get in touch about the event please email boxoffice@stollerhall.com
