The 19th International Piano Summer School at The Stoller Hall opens with an all-Beethoven concert by pianist Martino Tirimo.
“Tirimo’s playing belongs to a past generation of ‘greats'[…] Throughout the evening one was consistently aware that this supreme musician placed himself entirely at the service of the composer.” Bill Newman, Music and Vision.
Over nineteen years, Chetham’s International Summer School and Festival for Pianists has grown into one of the largest and best loved summer schools in the world, attracting over 500 pianists of all ages and abilities over two weeks each August to make music and learn from a superb faculty of players. Since its move into The Stoller Hall in 2017, the International Piano Series has built a growing public audience, enjoying a fortnight of music by professional and emerging artists alongside the Summer School’s participants.
