Part of our Sounds of Nature programme

Following their live stream performance during Manchester’s lockdown, the Victoria String Quartet return for their performance with a live audience.

Taking their name from the historic Victoria Baths in Manchester, renowned for its magnificent stained glass and mosaics, the Victoria String Quartet have performed in venues and festivals across the region.

This multigenerational ensemble fuses youth and experience: its members boast an impressive portfolio in the world of classical music, joining together to explore their shared passion, to delve into the rich and wonderful repertoire of the string quartet. Tonight we welcome them to The Stoller Hall to perform a programme of Haydn, Dvořák, Elgar and Tchaikovsky.

The performance will be centred around the theme of music and nature with a northern premiere of Elgar’s Early quartet fragments.
