Chetham’s School of Music will open its doors once again for a spectacular Summer School in August 2025.
Enjoy world-class facilities, learn from some of the best music tutors in the world and play with other young musicians who may become friends for life!
The Summer School is a week-long programme that combines four courses:
Each day will be fun and action-packed with workshops and personalised guidance. Experience singing, musicianship and ensemble music-playing, with performances at our professional concert venue, Stoller Hall.
After the music stops each evening, stay in our purpose-built boarding facilities, with plenty of fun activities, games and shared experiences with Chetham’s caring team of staff. Non-residential places are also available.

Financial Assistance
Chetham’s is passionate about providing a world-class musical education regardless of financial background. Payments can be made upfront in full, or by instalments. If you need financial assistance to be able to participate, please let us know and we will see if we can support you.

Thinking of applying to Chetham’s School of Music as a full-time student?
We offer advice auditions during the Summer School week. Information will be sent to parents and guardians closer to the start date of the course to arrange a time.
Chetham’s School of Music is now a Duke of Edinburgh Approved Activity Provider. If you are interested in completing part of your Duke of Edinburgh Award here at our Summer School, please let us know when you apply.

As a registered charity, we rely on donations so that any young person with potential, regardless of their financial circumstances, can begin their musical journey and learn from professional music tutors.
A £20 donation will provide sheet music and stationery for the week for one student.
A £50 donation will provide Access Resource funding to students with additional needs.
A £75 donation will provide an instrument for the week for one student.
A £165 donation will fully fund one day on the course for one student.
