“I regularly attend the Free Lunch Time Concerts, put on by Chetham’s. I would like to say what a pleasure they are. It is a privilege to listen to and watch, such talented students. The variety of instruments, vocals and music is wonderful.
“I am a 68-year-old pensioner who lives on his own. The concerts motivate me to get out (especially in the winter months), and being held at lunch time meets my needs, as I tend not to venture out at night during the dark months, due to feeling vulnerable.
“The added bonus is that they are free (I like concerts and theatre, but very rarely go due to cost). All in all, the concerts have a very positive impact on my mental wellbeing.
Leaving the concert hall, I feel relaxed, entertained, and fulfilled.
