The grand final of the Chetham’s Concerto Competition sees some of the finest young musicians in the world perform in one of the finest concert halls to an international panel of leading performers and producers.
The expert judging panel includes violinist Lyn Fletcher, who has enjoyed a career as a violinist and tutor for over 40 years, leading several major British orchestras including the Halle; Jenni Philips, former BBC Young Musician judge and second oboe with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic orchestra; Rebecca Hill, Associate Principal Horn at the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra; and Deputy Head of Keyboard Studies at the RNCM, Adam Swayne, a pianist and composer whose albums have been acclaimed by BBC Music Magazine, The Times and BBC Radio 3 among others.
Drop in for individual performances, or join us for a full day of exceptional live music making. Winners will be announced at about 6pm.
