Join the National Youth and Children’s Concert Bands at the end of their summer residency at Chetham’s School of Music for a varied programme showcasing the talent and dedication of some of the UK’s finest young wind, brass, and percussion players.
Conducted by David Chatterton (NYCB) and Adam Broughton (NCCB), with guest conductor Dr Timothy Reynish MBE, the explores the rich diversity of the wind band genre. Highlights include Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Folk Song Suite, Thea Musgrave’s Scottish Dance Suite, both sets of Kenneth Hesketh’s Danceries, Martin Ellerby’s New World Dances, and Lisa DeSpain’s The Bicycle Shoppe. Blending traditional influences with contemporary works, this concert provides a fitting conclusion to the bands’ 2026 season.
