The new announcement by the government regarding nationwide school site closures will have a dramatic impact on all of our lives, across the UK.

We are thankful, at least, to be ahead of the curve on this, having already moved to implement remote learning.

We continue to work around the clock to ensure a smooth transition to this new world; and we have been humbled by the positive response from students, parents and guardians, as well as our army of passionate, talented staff.

Students who are now facing exam cancellations will be particularly worried by uncertainty at this time, of course, but each and every student must be reassured that their ongoing hard work will not be in vain. Alternative methods of assessment will be found.

The health and wellbeing of our community is always our primary concern, but we will also ensure that the music, the learning, and our shared Chetham’s experience, does not stop.
